The skinny on the Bullet 5 deck...

Design ethos: A deck that pushes boundaries in design offering something new, something better. A competition deck for pro riders - that is also at home in the suburbs.

The Sleeper 5 Bullet deck is a culmination of knowledge learned the hard way, the wood way, but mostly the hardest concrete way. Learning air tricks and stair drops is a brutal undertaking, scooters are literally hammered into hard surfaces multiple times a session, as with all extreme sports it's the unavoidable cost of progression. With that in mind strength was one of the key principals for a deck designed specifically for pro riders who land bigger tricks with more muscle and being older tend to wear bigger shoes. (Note: All Sleeper decks also have class leading foot room)

Strong but still light with premium balance. Simple eh. 

Sleeper design is also about progression, learning from before to create something new, something that like its riders pushes boundaries, something ultimately better. Named after its bullet shaped balance tuned cutout the Bullet five wide deck is all of these. Like a bullet it's also fast, accurate, and deadly to the competition. When in contact with the ground its unmatched solid feel and lack of flex give rider confidence and enable maximum speed. Through the air its lightweight and fine tuned balance combine to unlock its ultimate power - the power to believe, the power for the rider to commit. 

The most unique design difference is seen from the tail of the park decks, the angled gussets. These run the full length of the deck providing far more rigidity, minimising flex and offering the ultimate in anti banana strength. It's a relatively simple concept, the complex part is doing it without adding extra weight.

Historically decks of all brands adopt various cutout designs to save weight, all extrusions and brand design goals vary as do their cutouts. The thing that generally stays the same is the cutouts are always symmetrical along the length of the deck, this is to maintain equal strength so if it does banana it does so in the middle and remains somewhat rideable. Which brings us to balance, along with weight vs strength deck balance is another critical aspect. The added strength of the Bullet gussets also allow, for the first time ever, the addition of non symmetrical deck cutouts. Not found in any other decks the Bullet cutouts enable the fine tuning of the balance point of each individual deck size and style.

Last but not least the gussets give a lot more strength to a weak spot common to all park decks - the impact point on the lower back corners.
